Vessel Design

The design for the Class had a displacement of 270 tonnes. The ship had a length of 136' (41M), a beam of 24'6" (7.47M), and a draft of 8' (2.4M). The vessel was capable of 15 knots (28 km/h), being powered by two 880bhp (it could be 440bhp) General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear which drove two shafts. The ship had a compliment of 32. The vessel armament comprised one single 3-inch/50 caliber gun mount, two 20mm anti-aircraft guns and two depth charge projectors.
